Kid President Meets the Real President. I’m Verklempt.

Kid President Obama

Kid President is a 9-year old boy named Robbie Novak who manages to have more compassion and optimism in his little body than most of us can muster up. And he’s inspiring and adorable and just awesome.

I was introduced to him through this pep talk he gave us all, telling us to wake up and change the world and dream and “It’s everybody’s duty to give the world a reason to dance.”

Well, he finally met President Barack Obama when he was invited to the White House and this amazing video happened.

I’m totally not crying! My eyes are just sweating a little. SHARRAP!

I just love this so much. First of all, that super awesome hand shake he first gave the President. Aawwww childhood enthusiasm! And then the tour around the Oval Office. And then when he asked “How can kids and grown-ups work together to change the world?” and Prez Obama gave him a speech on treating folks fairly. He talked TO him and not at him. Their interaction is just adorable.

Man…

Right in the Feels gif

This is just the cutest thing I’ve seen in such a long time. It touched me all in my heartspace and gave me the warm and fuzzies. Kid President is awesome and our President is awesome for inviting him to the White House. And the fact that he even got the opportunity to be there and see someone who looks like him. Just powerful.

Honestly, there’s so much terrible news in the world and people acting like they lost all their minds and folks just being monsters. We need more things like this to give us hope. I am HERE for this vid!

I just… I’m verklempt. Y’all talk amongst yourselves. *bites fist*

And tell me whatcha thought bout the video.

Like Kid President on Facebook.

I’ll reserve my political stance, and let out a big awwwwww. That little boy is a-dorable! Smart children assassinate my gangsta-ness. With his little suit, and his little voice, and his short self skipping around the office. And he so charismatic! That little boy is going to go far in the world, if he’s already this smart at age 9.

That top photo looks like they’re having a real, serious policy discussion. In other words, the POTUS is showing that baby some respect.

Now excuse me as I go wipe my eyes.

” In other words, the POTUS is showing that baby some respect. ”

Exactly! I’ll admit I haven’t been happy with every single thing POTUS has done, but I love and appreciate the way he shows respect to every single person, no matter who they are. He truly is a wonderful man.

I just cannot stop smiling. That was too adorable. It really brings a tear to my eye to see a little black kid sitting at the desk in the Oval office and speaking to the first black president. Just thinking about what my parents and grandparents went through in this country (and what people of color still go through) and then seeing this….I just…I’m so happy for that little boy.

This really energized me this morning. 🙂

Loves it! POTUS is so good with kids.

Kinda off-topic, but Obama is so sexsy when he’s strutting around the White House.

So overwhelmed! I was forming thug tears within the first 15 seconds. We get so bogged down with the weight of the world that we forget the good things therein at times and this was a much needed dose of sunshine.

My heart is singing! Kid President looked like he was over the moon. I thought that kid was great as soon as I saw his first video. The POTUS was so polite and encouraging. I feel like spinning in circles and singing now.

I was confident that I was not going to cry as I’ve seen many President to kid interaction videos. Well, after that precious chocolate drop of a kid started skipping and running following his visit with the President? I was NO good. Simply tears of joy. This made my day.

This is amazing and should be on somebody’s news channel. Regardless of your political affiliation, everyone should appreciate a kid who’s daring enough to already want great things for himself.

I loved the entire video and there were only 2…at the most 3 seconds in the whole thing where I halfway wanted him to say, “Whatchu talkin bout, Willis :-|”

This kid is Gary Coleman’s love child, right? He’s gotta be. Someone find this boy’s birth certificate.

what this POTUS means to our youth can never be underestimated. From that iconic picture of POTUS leaning over so that little boy could see if the President ‘ had hair like mine’ to things like this…

the Barack Obama ‘ effect’ will not be able to be truly measured for decades to come

I love how he sat down at the desk and the first thing he did was pick up the phone! ‘Rack’s reaction was priceless,”There wasn’t anybody on it, right?” And them strolling around the office…POTUS looked like,”I wish I had a son.”
And at the end,”What’d the President say?” “He said,’Hey’…we did small talk.”
This kid will do big things…
