MacBook Thieves Beware! You Might Don’t Make It!
Ok so y’all know I’m a tech geek and I love my gadgets. Between my Blackberry, MacBook and iPod touch, I’m always connected to the matrix. This is a good AND bad thing but I’m addicted.
I love my gadgets like they’re my children, so I’d hate if anything ever happened to them. HATE, I say! I’d probably bust out epic *wall slides.* Well, kinda like I did last August when my MacBook crashed. I made so much trouble at the Apple Store that they ended up giving me a brand new one to replace it. The power of tantrums CANNOT be underestimated.
Us tech geeks love our stuff. And you know the Apple-heads are almost obsessed. Sometime in March, a dude named Joshua Kaufman had his MacBook stolen out his house. Luckily for him, he had installed the Hidden App on there. The app takes pictures without the knowledge of the person who has the stolen computer, and it allows you to see the computer’s desktop remotely. So Josh was monitoring old boy and here are some gems he caught. He also created a Tumblr page called “This Guy Has My MacBook” to keep track of him. This picture of the thief is my favorite:

This thieving fool is comfy #dinnamug in the fetal position. LMAO!!! All he’s missing is a thumb in his mouth for this picture to be more perfect. He had NO idea he was about to be put on blast. SIR… GETCHO LIFE!!!
Four hours later, Joshua updated the Tumblr to say:
Update: (May 31, 8:37 PM PST) ARRESTED! An Oakland police officer just called me to let me know that they arrested the guy in my photos! BOOYA! The police used my evidence (email which pointed to a cab service) that he was a driver and tricked him into picking them up. Nice work OPD!
WIN!!! And the Oakland Police Department has his MacBook now, according to his Twitter account (@jmk).
Technology rocks sometimes, I tells ya. And the power of the interwebs is just off the hook.
So if you’re thinking about stealing a gadget, just hope the person who owns it isn’t tech-savvy, or a Mashable-reader or an IT specialist or a technology guru. You MIGHT don’t make it. And for fellow owners of MacBooks, it might be a good idea to install that Hidden App just in case. It worked wonders for Joshua! It costs $15 a year for one computer but it might be well worth it.
I’m just soooo tickled by this whole thing. Criminals can’t e’em steal in peace no more! O___O WELP!

It was broadcast on the news this morning that the taxi driver said that he purchased the MAC Book hot. This is a lesson for thieves and those who purchase hot items.
He’s lying and the truth aint in him. I’ont belee that. Esp since he deleted the dude’s data himself.
Why it always gotta be someone from Oakland? Oakland can’t hardly catch a break from the fools that keep us in the news! We just got over that Harold “end of the world” dude, now this 🙁
