The Treadmill Tumble That Left Me in Cackling Tears
I found the video below and laughed so hard that I was shaking silently for about 20 seconds. You know that laugh that looks like you’re sobbing because you’re trying to catch your breath? Yes. That one. Just watch this video (it’s 70 seconds long and gets good around 45 seconds in).
*DEEEEEAAAAADDDDDDD* *plays it again* *HOWLS*
He fell so hard that his sandals flew in two different directions, and his complete fail was repeated as he tried to get balanced. His attempts at dance redemption failed SO BAD. This is so comical that it looks like a cartoon. I was expecting Bugs Bunny to come through and say “Ehhhh what’s up, doc?” This fall, though! He didn’t just fall once either. Nah. His attempt at rebalance made that machine re-punish him. I cry.
When the video started and he strutted in READY to show his friend his sick moves, I just knew it wouldn’t end well. He took off his chains and everything and laid them down to show he really meant business. And then he told the other dude to kick off the music. Dude had plans, yall.
But when he cripwalked his ass unto that treadmill and promptly ended up on his back with his legs in the air, I about lost it. LOST. IT. He lost ALL his various accessories in the process too. Not just his chanclattas but his hat was GONE too. In hindsight, his decision to take off his chains was super smart because he woulda been slapped in the face by all that jewelry. He mighta died.

Seriously. I am in tears. Just look at him and his preparatory crip walk.
People falling is ALWAYS hilarious (as long as they don’t get hurt). Like this falling graduate who could NOT stay on her feet longer than 2 steps and had to crawl across the football field to get to her seat.
But this dude gets a special medals of fail. Maybe it’s because of his “I’m about to slay this dance” pre-juke session. Iunno what it is but this is the funniest fall I’ve seen yet.
Moral of this story: Do not rock sandals on a treadmill. Always record your attempts at recreation of an Ok GO video for our amusement. Remove your chains before attempting such dangerous moves. Do not try to crip walk on a treadmill.

i don’t even know where to start – what i do know is that when i’m ready to have this baby (i’m due in 5 weeks), i’m just gonna watch this video on continuous loop – because if laughing this baby out is the way to go, this is the video to make it happen!!!

I’ve saved this video because it makes me holla EVERY. TIME. I just now noticed his friend doing the silent laugh after dude falls twice (twice!!) and then tries to play it off. Nah, son.

Bahahahaha!!!! Hilarity^3. When I saw the treadmill and dude taking off his chains like hes about to do SOMETHING, I said to myself “self, this is not going to end well…mmmmhmmm”. I think I choked right about the times he had his two legs up in the air, sandals flew off and you could see the look of desperation in his eyes. That treadmill was like ” You ‘Gon Learn Taday”!!!
As funny as this is though, I still doesn’nt beat my all time favorite youtube fall. If you have time, Please youtube “Scarlet Takes a tumble.” That has become such a classic in my family that we watch it together every Christmas when we get together.
Oh girl I am VERY familiar with Scarlet’s tumble. In fact, I blogged about it years back on another site. That fall heard round the world slays me every time.

Why do I love this chronicle of jackassery? Let me count the ways: 1) Dude’s shoes flying into the air like ghetto confetti. 2) The way Dude spins on his back like a broke down tortoise. 3) The way Dude’s boy just puts his head down on the desk as if to say, “Deliver me from this clown who just got took out by a piece of exercise equipment.” 4) That “Jane! Stop this crazy thing!” run before Dude goes down. Tell me you don’t hear Smokey from “Friday” yelling, “You got knocked the F*CK OUT!” once he tumbles.
