Rising Troublemaker is the Book for Your Teens and Students!

Growing up is tough and adulthood is a scam. I say this cuz while we were learning about isosceles triangles or whatever, nobody was telling us not to sign up for that credit card in college and ruin our credit for 2 decades. There are TOO many things that we didn’t learn as teenagers that we should have.

Folks never told me that when I start working, I am supposed to negotiate my salaries. Nobody told us that to be well-functioning human beings, our job was NOT to people-please our way into bent backs. When I look at my nieces and nephews, I REFUSE to let them stumble over the same blocks I stumbled over, especially when the only thing they need is the information.

There are TOO many things that we didn’t learn as young people that we should have. 

That is why I wrote RISING TROUBLEMAKER: A Fear-Fighter Manual for Teens. I wrote it for 16 year old me who didn’t realize what made her different was her superpower. This is the book I needed at 16, when I still thought I had to be a doctor cuz that’s what I’d been told my whole life. I wrote it to give teenage me the cheat codes that would have been useful.

My hope is to be a possibility model for girls who look like me, to know they too can live audaciously. RISING TROUBLEMAKER would be an amazing gift for your girls. It reads like their favorite auntie dropping affirming and life-changing advice and serves as a reminder to them to dream audaciously and be unapologetically themselves!

The book is out now!!! It’s available in hardcover, eBook and audiobook (which I narrated, with full auntie energy)! I’m super excited for these young people to get their hands on it.

It is a great conversation driver (and we will provide you with a Discussion Guide to garner meaningful conversations around the various topics in the book). More girls need to hear that they can be their WHOLE selves, without apology.
