Whose Tragic Toes are on This Runway?

Sometimes, you gotta know that certain shoes are not for you. OR to size up if you’re hellbent on rocking them. There’s pics of Julianne Moore and Anna Wintour being out here bogus and wearing shoes that their toes are crying to be released from. But the worst I’ve seen is in the pic below that someone posted to my Awesomely Luvvie Facebook page (from the Deedan page).

Tragic toes

*DEAD*

First of all, these shoes are so ill-fitting that her toes spilled out of it. But even more serious is that fact that her toes are literally holding on to the shoes for dear life. They’re like “hell no, we won’t go” and grasping for leather. Ma’am, if your foot cleavage is so unable to be contained in some sandals, please find other options.

AND THIS IS ON A RUNWAY! This is a model that they sent out to strut her stuff and her foot situation looks like spider legs. Someone sabotaged her. I’ve heard about the cutthroat fashion business. Whoever approved her look backstage didn’t like her one bit and doesn’t wish her well. Everyone involved should be shamed.

Them feets look in pain. Like when she gets backstage, her piggies gon give up the ghost and just quit everything. I wanna sing a sad love song for her.

Sashay Away gif

But the EXTRA hollering I did was because of Draya. She’s crooking her neck ALLAWAY to the side to really see the tragedy of the toes. I’m surprised she wasn’t taking a picture for Instagram.

HILARIOUS! Tragically hilarious.

Whose tragic toes are these and what designer’s collection did they walk for?

hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Draya is looking like wait is that real life let me look at from another angle.

Luvvie she wasn’t sabotaged tho a lot of times in Runway they don’t have shoes that will fit your feet, either too small or too big you as a model just have to deal with it.

There must be some type of misunderstanding. There must.

No don’t blame the model, blame the designer! Kwan was right. The shoe problem backstage is nothing new but you would think in 2013….I’m just sayin…

Yes, this is definitely the designer’s people’s fault. They didn’t adequately plan for the model they have, hence this. I knew about this fact Elsa Clench. Shout out to NY-25 from 1995 informing black girls about fashion.

It’s so unfair to the model and it’s unprofessional, they choose the models a certain amount of time in advance before the runway b/c they still may have to tailor the clothes a bit more. There is no reason these designers can’t find the right size shoes.

Someone once told me that runway shoe size is 7. No matter what size foot the model actually has they have only size 7 shoe. I can imagine being taller women there a probably very few size 7 feet in the industry.

It honestly depends on the show and designer. I’ve dressed models backstage for Carlos Miele and they were certain about the shoes. I’m talking 10’s and 11’s. Whoever’s putting 7’s on those girls is the devil. I mean it. Big Foot Girls Represent!

    She didn’t take the pledge…

Please raise your big toes and repeat after me:… As a member of the Cute Girl Sisterhood, I pledge to follow the rules when you wear sandals and other open toe shoes:

I promise to always wear sandals that fit. that my toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will heels spill over the backs.

And that the sides and tops of my feet will not pudge out between the straps.

I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free. I will not cheat and just touch up the big toe.

I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow.

I will shave the hairs off big toe.

I will not wear pantyhose even if my misinformed girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there.

    If a strap breaks, I won’t duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck more…

I remember watching ANTM and hearing plenty of times that runway models must work with what they’re given, no matter what size. I even remember one of the challenges including the girls having to wear shoes that were 2 sizes smaller, to mimic what they’d have to deal with as real, working runway models.

WOW. Just, frickin’ WOW. And dammit, Kate and Luvvie, I wet up my sleeve, but my computer stayed dry! It’s my fault; I know better than to drink, eat, or be in the vicinity of other people when I read these posts. 🙂
