10 Reasons Why My Trip to LA Rocked. Part 2

So yesterday, I kicked off my post about my trip to LA from 2 weeks ago. Get a piece of Part 1.

Anywho, LA rocked because:

* I met a bunch of the folks I’ve been itching to meet for a while. I’m talmbout Marie Denee (who is just the sweetest person ever), Inny Vinny, SteenFox, Renae Bluitt (whose blog I designed earlier this year, and winner of the Black Weblog Awards for “Best Business Blog.” And she’s HELLA fierce), Glamazini, The Cubicle Chick, Takeyah of the Core Connection. I’ve connected with these folks online and it was about time for us to meet in person. I got to meet sooo many of them.

SteenFox, Scott Hanselman, Inny Vinny (and the Baby Beigelet in womb), Awesomely Luvvie

They’re all so awesome. We had a blast too. And we won’t e’em talk bout how Steenfox planked on the escalator of the Marriott Hotel at 2am. IT. WAS. HILARIOUS. And Adria caught it on tape.

LMAO!!! This will not stop being funny. Especially when she disappears. FOOLERY, I tell you!

* I got to reconnect with my cronies. Folks like Dr. Goddess, Matt of Prune Juice Media, Listen to Leon, Cheryl Contee.

* I ate at In n Out Burgers for the first time ever. And for 2 days in a row. When I said I was going to LA, a bunch of folks told me I had to go to In n Out. I’m not a huge beef-eater (#paws) but I definitely gave it a try. And let me tell ya… it was crack. I had to go back a second day.

In n Out Burger

800 calories of pure deliciousness.

* I had so much red velvet stuff! One of my fave bloggers Michael Arceneaux (aka Young Sinick) hit me up talmbout “Aren’t you here to eat red velvet everything under the guise of attending a blogger conference this weekend?” and I wondered which one of youse told himmy plan for him to know me so well. Wells, he graciously took me to The Waffle, which is a restaurant I was highly recommended by Chris Alexander. They had red velvet waffles. I HAD TO GO!

Red velvet waffles

Red. Velvet. Waffles!!! I HAVE BEEN CHANGED, LAWD!!! *drops*

It had cream cheese topping that was sooo good that I forgot what syrup even was. This ish was just… iCan’t e’em describe it. Man listen… I thought bout moving to LA just to have 24/7 access to these babies. I couldn’t finish it because it was so rich (I think I had 2 bites left) but my taste buds were singing an opus (not Mr. Holland’s).

As if that wasn’t great enough. I’ve been stalking asking SteenFox for months to make red velvet cookies as part of her Steen’s Cookies. So when she was coming, she said she had something even better for me. When I saw her, she presented me with a bag of these:

Red velvet whoopie pie

LAWDDDD!!! This was everything! It was like a party inside my mouth and everyone was invited. Apart from you. And you right there. But the rest of y’all? So invited! It was all soft and delicious. I savored that bag all weekend because I didn’t want to finish them. I mean, yummm.

Ok so clearly I went to LA to be a glutton. My inner fat ass thoroughly enjoyed the trip. All that food I ate. Lemme find out I’ma be one step closer to having an ass like Serena’s. LEMME FIND OUT.

Oh and sharrap everyones. I can dream too. (-____-)

Something else REALLY dope happened in LA while I was there. I might tell y’all one day. Just cross your fingers. I think I’m one step closer to my dreams.

The city of angels treated me VERY well. That was my first time but it certainly won’t be my last. It was an absolute pleasure!

Getchu a piece of the photo album I posted on my Facebook page with the rest of the pictures from this trip. Album HERE

Oh and this was totally more than 10 reasons. I was just too lazy to change the title. You love me still.

SteenFox planking on the escalator almost kilt me dead! I was in the In-N-Out burger when I pulled it up on Adria’s tweet and iCant, iShalnt, iWont. Then when we rolled back to the hotel Steen’s SUPER proud in the lobby like “Did you check my technique?! *drops mic*” D.E.A.D.
