Clifford Owusu’s YouTube video has me cracking up. It’s called “Reason Africans Don’t Answer Phone Calls.” Watch, laugh and learn to move your body like him.
SON. LMAOOOO! That is a man after my own heart! HE WAS GETTING ALL HIS LIFE! I LOVE how African men dance. CHEI! My brothers. lol
Custom ringtones make it SO hard to answer, and when it’s music like this, the rhythm makes you bodyroll for Buddha! I’m pretty much unable to stay still when I hear West African music. Our stuff goes so hard in the rhythmic paint!
But why did I start hitting all my jigs with him, though? I couldn’t help myself.
When he put his hand up and said “THAT’S MY SONG!” I hollered. IT IS, THOUGH! How can we pick up the phone when our music goes so hard in the paint?!? By the way, the song is called 200% Zoblazo and it’s by Melway.
*replays it for the 20th time* I may or may not memorize this entire dance. The next time your African friend doesn’t answer the phone, understand that we’ll call you back after we hit our azonto or premier gaou right quick.

YES!!!!! I remember one night I was on YouTube just looking around for random stuff and ended up watching videos of azonto dancing (and dancing myself) for about 2 hours!!! You hear the music and you HAVE to dance. If you don’t dance when you hear the music then something is wrong with you. LOL

Ok so I’m not Nigerian or Ghanaian. I do come from skrong African blood (just not sure where from… what with the Middle Passage and all …), but I will be memorizing and practicing the above dance!
