Whitney Young HS, My Alma Mater, Wins the Internet Today
I bleed orange and blue! Before I was an Illini, I was a Dolphin. A Whitney Young Dolphin, to be specific. I’m an alumni of the best high school in the city of Chicago: Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. We’re also ranked nationally as one of the top schools in academics and we just rock in general.
More proof of that? FLOTUS Michelle Obama is an Alum. YUP.
Today, my high school wins the internet. You might know why already but if you don’t, lemme bring it to you attention.
Current seniors we being turnt up in one of our four lunchrooms and one of them decides to go do a footwork jig in the doorway of one of the staffers. Then he circles around and sees one of the teachers and proceeds to jig for his life in front of him. You might expect the teacher to be annoyed, but NAWL. Instead, he accepts the CHALLONJ and does an Irish jig himself. And slayed.
Just watch.

This video has made its internet rounds today, even appearing on Good Morning America. WY always finds a way to stay on some map and I’m here for it!

P.S. I’m REALLY glad YouTube didn’t exist while I was in high school. all the shenanigans we used to get into on tape? There’d be a video right now of that one time when I tripped so hard I face-planted and my Vice-Principal checked to make sure I was ok. And then laughed at me SO hard. LOL
