I Watched the First Episode of VH1’s Sorority Sisters
VH1 is the den of reality TV shows featuring Black women behaving badly and they stay on-brand with Sorority Sisters. The show has been receiving backlash ahead of its premiere because it is chronicling women from four historical Black Greek-Letter Organizations. They all live in Atlanta and every woman on the show is either a part of Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi Beta. People have been raising hell because it’s obvious they their scholarship and greater womanhood is not the reason they will be featured.
I had to watch it and write this post because if I don’t, I’d need to reply to 35 emails from y’all asking if I saw the foolishment. I did. So here’s my thoughts about it.
April the AKA has a nose so contoured that I see the line straight down her nose. She runs a boutique called “House of Couture” and can be seen rocking lycra dresses in the middle of a Tuesday. Just because.
Priyanka the Delta and is rocking a really offensive Snuffleupagus weave and I want to understand why she would even do that. That hairhat looks like it lives on her dresser at night.
Cat the SGRho reminds me of Porsha from Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was trying to bring extra sass to her confessionals, possibly to prevent us from realizing that she probably has the personality of a peanut.
Adrene the Delta also owns a fashion business called “House of…” and she’s the one who is on the show to be considered “The Bitch.” She’s owning this and it works for her because at the end of the show, she’s the only one whose name I remembered without having to look at my tweets from the beginning. She is also a fan of highlighting and contouring.
Veronica the Zeta is adorable but I do wish she would blend her eyeshadow, doe. Every scene she was in, I could see a strong line and I just wanted to sweep a MAC brush past her eyelids to set things right. She’s a dancer who also does fashion consulting. Because let Atlanta tell it, everyone is either a designer, a fashion consultant or a makeup artist. That city must have the highest rate of shoetiques and boutiques per square mile in any city. And Instagram designers.
Shanna the white Delta was for diversity’s sake, clearly. I did wonder if she was passing before she spoke. And of course, her arc this season is going to be about folks judging her for being a melanin-deficient member of a BGLO. I’m bored already.
Speaking of bored, this show was that. I’m used to formulaic TV, but this one was so tired that 20 minutes into it, I was already itching to change the channel. I care so little about these people and this show that I just wanted it to be done so I could say I did it. With 10 minutes left to go in the episode, I just turned off my TV. I figured I had enough to write this post.
Lawd. These women on this show. Do they get ex-communicated after this show? All my Greek friends are PISSED. Deltas everywhere, especially, should be burning flags with VH1’s logo on it right now. They REALLY got set up for the okey doke with this because there are like 6 Deltas on the show and one women from every other sorority.
Honestly, the gimmick of them being Greeks wasn’t even necessary because the mess associated with them isn’t even BECAUSE of their Greekdom. But they definitely dropped the names of their sororities too murch. And there was the time when Adrene and another lady named MeToya were walking down the street and just OO-OOPED randomly. CHILE BYE.
People are calling for the boycott of this show and I can understand why. I don’t plan on boycotting because I wasn’t even planning on watching this season. That’ll be like me saying I won’t be shopping at Versace this Christmas. O_O
I’m basically at my reality TV show with sassy Black women limit right now. I always leave room for RHOA and whatever Love & Hip Hop franchise is on but I’ve been so busy that I’ve actually missed every episode of both in the last 2 months. This show ain’t even INTERESTING enough. It’s the formula of RANDOM BLACK WOMEN WHO LOVE FAKE HAIR + HAVE BAD ATTITUDES + WEAR NIGHTTIME MAKEUP AT NOON + ENJOY LOOKING SQUOZED IN ALL THEIR ALPHETS + WANT QUICK FAME + WILL FIGHT FOR DUMB SHIT. Again, I’ve hit my quota on that.
In short, VH1 is taking no risks here. And these women who are on the show think the Nene Leakes Model for Success will work for them too. But using their letters to do it might lose them the sisterhood. Maybe they’ll get some weave brand ambassadorships from it, doe. HEY NOW!
Did you watch? Got thoughts? Let a G know. To my BGLO readers, I really wanna hear how you feel about this show.

I’m just trying to figure out who actually thought that April was AKA material. I really hope that all of this extra is just that EXTRA..
I didn’t watch it. I saw the commercials and that was enough. It does both women in Atlanta and the NPHC sororities a disservice. You touched on it but…. Reality TV and Sororities do not need to mix. As I was arguing with a friend who was like “Well..where was the outrage about other reality shows”….Well..there has ALWAYS been outrage but unlike other reality shows IMO.. a) This Sorority SheCoonery…they are profiting off of organizations who have and do not want anything to do w/ this. They’ve explicitly stated in the past they want NOTHING to do w/ Reality TV (Remember that failed MTV show Sorority Life?? Yeah…we all got the memo way back then to not even THINK about participating). That isn’t right. Now what other grown folks do for money as entertainers is not my concern. They aren’t using the backs of organizations, stereotypes of said organizations and such to get “famous”. and b) most of those folks on previous reality shows ARE entertainers. That is their job… Your assessment is right. and to add..they are doing a disservice by shooting all these fuck ass shows in Atlanta. Women in Atlanta aren’t even living like that. If they made my show it would be “Real Boring Wives of Atlanta” and they’d be filming me in a Publix trying to decide between rotisserie chicken and fried chicken. Speaking as a born and raised Peach, living boring ass lives, not in a boutique, weave spot or club all the time, and trying to navigate terrible traffic and just be normal folks. I just wanna cunt punt these broads. LOL
Choose the Rotisserie chicken!!!! LOL
But no, seriously, all of this! My folks live in ATL and when I go visit I am always bored to tears. Don’t get me wrong, ATL is a beautiful city with great history but the coonery that is always shown in ATL on these Reality TV shows is NOT what it is.
Watching gold-digging or super clueless women act ridiculous is one thing. Watching educated Black women (b/c you had to attend college for at least 2 yrs to be in a sorority) act coonish for ratings is where I draw the line. After the tomfoolery that was Love and Hip Hop NYC I definitely changed the channel so fast my TV had whiplash.
Yessssss…these shows are not representative of Real Atlanta wives. I’m so over this foolishness.
1. SheCoonery
2. “filming me in a Publix trying to decide between rotisserie chicken and fried chicken”
*faints*
Ma’am, you are the real MVP. the doors of the church are now open
I’m crying because that would be me in Publix! LMAO! My whole show would be, “Do I feel like cooking or getting pizza? Or maybe wings? I could go for some Thai. Oh wait, I have shrimp in the freezer.” *proceeds to sit there watching tv and eating shrimp stir fry in my Wonder Woman onsie*
“Wonder woman onsie”! Ha! I live!
They… they make a Wonder Woman Onsie? I need this information. You know, for a friend…
http://www.amazon.com/Comics-Wonder-Fleece-Onesie-Footie/dp/B00FRRYEX0
Tell that “friend” i said your welcome lol
That wonder woman onesie just gave me life!!! I have to have it!!
Dominique, I need the Wonder Woman onesie for me pleeeeeaaaase!!!
Wait! What? A Wonder Woman onesie?!? Where can one find this onesie? I’ve been on the hunt the last couple of weeks to find a me the perfect onesie. Nothing has sparked my sense of style until the mention of a Wonder Woman onesie!!!
But I would totally watch you and MochaPeach’s shows though LOL.
You canNOT drop wonder Woman onsie without adding a link to where said onsie can be purchased. You just can’t!
http://www.amazon.com/Comics-Wonder-Fleece-Onesie-Footie/dp/B00FRRYEX0
But what did you decide? Do I have to wait on the season premiere to get a resolution on this cliff hanger?
I think it’ll be a cliff hanger…….. because I mean the Deli also has bomb subs so…….. what is we gonna do? I gotta feed my husband
*dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnn*
I hope you picked the fried chicken
CUNT PUNT is the best thing I have read today. Totally agree 100%…Hilarious on point response.
2 snaps and a twirl!!! Yesss girl!! I had to comment, but I’m not even trying to watch the show. But I like your idea! And then they can cut to the next scene with me in Kroger at the sushi bar. I tell people all the time that Atlanta is not the hype they hear about, it’s boring. I don’t club (you get over it after a while when you got on the scene by sneaking in to Uranus in Buckhead at 18…). No, I don’t love dem strippas. Every woman in Atlanta is not about “that life”. Come shoot a reality show about HR Wives and really find out what’s hot in these ATL Streets.

I am here for the publix lemon pepper rotisserie chicken mam! lol
Thank You! I am from Dallas and I DON”T KNOW any women that lead these type of lives. I could be on the “Boring Housewives of Dallas” but since I work I am really not a housewife…oops neither are the women on ATL. As for Sorority Sisters…just a rehash of all of the CRAP TV depicting black women on ALL of television. Someone just found another avenue of exploiting us. I am really replying because once I read “CUNT PUNT these broads” IT WAS OVER! I laughed so loud I scared my dog. Which is a good thing…I need her to move over so I can have more space in my comfy chair. As I said, “Boring Housewives of Dallas”!
The fact that the show is using Greek Life as a format has nothing to do with why I won’t be watching. There have been way more sacred things profiled in reality tv format. My problem with the show is these women are BORING and have the personality of drying paint. Also, I’ve never been a fan of the Mona Scott Young franchise. I will stick with RHOA
WEAR NIGHTTIME MAKEUP AT NOON
LOL!!!! Chicks in Atlanta don’t understand the concept of event specific makeup. You could be in Kroger at 3am and a chick in her pjs has on a full face with contouring.
“If they made my show it would be “Real Boring Wives of Atlanta” and they’d be filming me in a Publix trying to decide between rotisserie chicken and fried chicken.”
The suspense is killing me. What did you choose?
I’m voting for rotisserie!
I didn’t watch and I refuse to watch. I’m so sick of these shows. They all stick to the same formula and I’m bored beyond belief.
I won’t be watching, every Delta, myself included were pissed at the thought. im convinced Mona Scott Young hates black women though.
But Mona is not involved with this. The producers trust are a bunch of white men.
Education 101 for you today *no shade involved* The show was pitched by Mona, my petition earlier this year caused some intense backlash, she removed her name BUT her business partner is on the production team, you think she’s not getting that check on the low? nah she couldn’t miss out on some extra SheCoonery ha. Its who she is.
I never saw the allure of people of color belonging to a “Greek” organization anyway, so I never planned on watching.
I refused to watch it. I know that there was something floating around saying watch and then tweet the sponsors but the spirit of Ethel Hedgeman Lyle would not let me pick up the remote. Mona Scott Young and her shenanigans must be stopped for the greater good of our people.
Mona was tied to it in the begging but seems to have cut ties. At least on the surface. Who knows behind the scenes. Stefan Springman was definitely involved with the LHH franchise and Mona.
“Sorority Sisters” is executive produced by Robert Horowitz for Juma Entertainment, and Toby Barraud, Stefan Springman, Mala Chapple and Jeff Grogan serve as executive producers for Eastern TV. Susan Levison, Nina L. Diaz, Vivian Gomez, Ken Martinez, and Daniel Blau Rogge are executive producers for VH1.

I’m not greek at all so i can’t speak to any of that. HOWEVER, how many ratchet reality tv shows about black chics doing uber (‘hood-like) black things do we really need? At least entertain me in the process and this show wasn’t even that. I’m interested in writing my Congressman and starting a petition against this one. Hashtag over it.
i swear my iMessage inbox was flooded last night about this show. Being a member of DST I didn’t watch at all. After LHHNY went off I grabbed my remote & changed the channel so quick I almost broke my thumb! Judging by this summary all these ladies were acting a damn fool. Sorry but my fuckery quota is at it’s limit.
I think that we all knew that this show was going to depict our beloved organizations in a horrendous and abhorrent manner. By tuning in, we fuel large debut numbers. In order to get this show off the air we need to take action by:
1. Signing the petition: http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/end-mona-scott-youngs;
2. Turn off VH1 all together;
3. Identify advertisers and openly boycott their products via our dollars and social media.
Producers at VH1 can and have ignored our pleas thus far, however advertisers will not ignore both bad publicity and our dollars.
I watched the show last night, and I was completely taken back and highly disappointed. I always wanted to be a DST, but after watching how those ladies acted last night, I have def changed my mind about becoming Greek.
They were completely out of line with the comments and the content, which in my opinion is not representation of any professional organization particularly an African-American organization. All that aside, what about the mere fact of how they talk to one another and their interaction with one another.
We, as black women have it hard enough as it is, and to be “cat fighting” with one another about irrelevant issues that have nothing to do with the organization’s forward growth, mission, vision or goals is completely disappointing! Who cares about who carries what in a boutique, shoetique or whatever.
I would have love to seen them operate and act like professional business owners!
Do not base your desire (or lack of) to join a BGLO on this show.
It’s possible you know women and men in Greek orgs that you trust and admire but you don’t realize it because NONE of them run around screaming their org at every chance they get.
In the same way the all of Mona’s shows (or mona-esque by others) don’t represent even a fraction of the diverse lives of black people. This show is not a representation of the majority of BGLOs.
I am not in an org but I know many who are and none of them act like the women on this show even with people within their org that they are not fond of. When it’s time to work they WORK and do a lot of good things for the community but of course we won’t see that on this show.
And this is what concerned me about the show. You’ll either have hoodrats wanting to join because they think they can be amongst their kind, or have quality people not want to join because of this behavior.
Rest assured that my sistergreeks of Delta Sigma Theta DO NOT all act this way. I encourage you to find some hardworking Delta’s and get the real tea because this is not their/our reality.
I am Greek and was born and raised in metro Detroit. I can assure you that real women of Divine 9 sororities DO NOT act in the manner portrayed. I have friends that are involved in other organizations and while we laugh and joke about ‘colors’, we wholeheartedly support each other. That is why this show is so offensive. Real Greek women don’t act like this.
That was one of my biggest issues with the entire show. Their continued perpetuation that because we chose different organizations we do not get along and there is some sort of gang war between Deltas and AKAs; I have great friends and family members that are AKAs I love them dearly. We joke about about our colors may even throw some jabs but it is SISTERLY at no point in time do we ever seek to put down each other or women of other orgs for that matter. And it was real obvious the push was on to show Deltas and AKAs acting ignorant because at no point were the Zeta and SGRho SistaGreeks made to look like fools. I’m thoroughly disgusted by the whole thing.
I don’t mean any harm but if you decide you don’t want to join DST based off of what you saw on a ratchet VH-1 reality show, then you didn’t want to join DST deep down anyway. I’m not in any BLGO organization nor do I wish to be in one but if you base joining a national organization based off what 3,4 people did on a reality show then you shouldn’t be joining anyway.
This should make you want to stop watching VH1 vs not wanting to join a BGLO. I have always wanted to be in a sorority because of the many women I know who represent them professionally and with class. From what I hear about last nights show, those woman probably barely made the cut and have a lot more growing up to do.
Please don’t base your ideas of Greek life on this show. It’s so far from the truth its not even funny.
That was the pettiest show I’ve ever seen. Too old to be acting like the teenagers I mentor. LAWD
Here’s the Black Greek Anti-Xmas list of DO NOT BUY ADVERTISERS…

We should already expect this of Vh1. But at some point, we have to hold the women accountable who allow themselves to be portrayed like this. Especially in this example. My question isn’t why Vh1 would air it, but rather why these Greek organizations would allow it? I’m not Greek but if I were, that’s where my questions and frustrations would go to first. I thought that something like this would definitely have to be cleared by heads of chapters, etc., so how this happened is what confuses me.
They didn’t allow it. They tried to get it off the air earlier this year before it was fully produced. There was a disclaimer at the beginning saying no BGLO was affliated or helping this show in any way (or something to that effect). The women can’t wear their letters or any specific paraphernalia.
And from the looks of the tweets ALL of these ladies will NOT be Greek by the end of the week!
You can’t keep someone from going after a check but unfortunately these women might be someone’s only example of Greek life. That is sad.
I now have to relearn the alphabet and french after watching this show last night. It was a waste of an hour that I could have spent plucking the hairs out of my nether regions one by one with rusty tweezers!
i told myself I wasn’t going to watch, I really did. When my roommate kept yelling “they got K’s !!!!” in shock of the disrespect to my org all i could do was shrug and say, well if preachers can make money off of reality shows, no surprise here. but I’ve been over it and all the “SheCoonery”, catch me when theyre having a catfight at that Saturday morning community service, or instead of stroll practice at THIRTY, theyre applying for that doctorate. I’d say they need to be expelled, but they probably haven’t been finiancial since the day they graduated anyway!! but I’m just gonna sip this here tea, pinky up and all.
This show was disturbing on so many levels for me as a member of a BGLO.
1. I’m a bit ticked that the same orgs that told us NOT to wear pari to protest are allowing these women to say over and over again they belong to XYZ group. *side-eye nationals*
2. I get the whole argument that black folks should have been mad long before this show, but to be 100, it’s easy to watch and individual represent themselves in an inappropriate manner than it is to watch someone act a fool and represent orgs. that are to be hold in high esteem.
3. After watching the previews for LHHNY, I’m done with it all. I just can’t take the same stupidity over and over again.
The Divine Nine didn’t want to be represented in the protests??? What was their reasoning?
Only two, AKA and Delta said no pari wearing, but AKA later changed their minds. While both don’t want to tolerate the injustices, I think it was a don’t put our name on the line thing, which is basically what is going on the show.
this is how things get twisted. The BGLO’s are no way affiliated with this show. If you noticed, the Divine 9 symbols were no where to be seen on the show. HQ’s did not sanction this. I totally understand why DST chose to ask Sorors not to wear their symbols while protesting. Someone does/says something wrong (while in their paraphanalia), it will automatically be affiliated with the organization as a whole.
You can’t stop people’s freedom of speech…they have the right to say what they want as long as it’s factual.
Personally, I hope all of the ladies on this show are stripped of their symbols and sent a cease and desist letter that will keep them from saying that they are members. Dwight Howard was able to keep this BM from mentioning his name on that basketball wive’s show.
At the end of the day I didn’t watch, so I can’t really comment much past my initial reactions. It hurts my head that this crap is on tv. Are these women paper (skaters??) grad chapter?? The most fundamental rule of pledging is secrecy. Shit when I was on line I couldn’t even tell my damn roommate or boyfriend I was pledging!! So for there to be a reality show about NPHC baffles me.. Call headquarters and please pull these ladies Greek cards. I would love to know where the hell are there line sisters?? Bigs? Neos?? Someone should have said hey sister greek, u don’t want to join the ranks of Mimi on team bad desicions…
That was what I wanted to know. I’m like not na’an LS/
Ship, Big, ya DP, ADP, old school, not one pulled them to the side like Soror, I don’t think this is the move for you. Let one of my LSs even think about thinking about putting their letters to shame in this manner…
They were foul, period. It doesn’t matter if they came in undergrad, grad, or honorary, their foolishness at the expense of our letters was out of order.
I seem to recall Mona Scott on The View talking about this earlier this year, and it sounded like a ratchet hot mess back then.
I do not watch any of those Real Housewife shows because all they do is stereotype women as being petty and materialistic and then they take the fuggery to the next level when Black women are involved.
Luvvie is spot on with that equation that these shows use for casting these Black characters ( love of weave, night time make up during the day, too little clothes) and it’s been done to death. Have some originality please. I am not even asking for highbrow entertainment but this nonsense here is not cutting it.
So i’m gonna say this please don’t stone me
I found it funny. Like hilariously funny.
It was sooooo bad that all i could do was laugh. The Greeks i know would never act like this and with that reasoning alone I think people gave this show too much country.
No BGLO signed off on it they ALL said “NAWL” when asked for permission to show REAL Greek events and the like.
People connecting this to the Protest stuff? You have to know that’s not how tv works. You can’t stop grown women from chasing a check and selling themselves short on national television. All these women are allowed to do is SAY they are Greek. They are playing it up for screen time and they care not how it makes anyone else in their org look.
The whole Boycott the ad companies thing?
That was very misguided. Why tell your org to WATCH when we know that all the execs care about is numbers.
Plus
I saw GET COVERED AMERICA on the BOYCOTT list!!!
You are so determined to get a show you don’t have to watch off the air that you want all of your members to boycott AFFORDABLE HEATHCARE.ORG?
I’m all for stopping these shows but the boycott plan was not thought all the way through.
I also noticed a Delta had the AKA’s store on the Botcot list but somehow her DST soror’s shop was NOT on the boycott list.
Interesting…..
Anyway, by getting all these Greeks worked up enough to hatewatch VH1 once again got the views that they wanted.
To me, the show was like any other ratchet show…except the chicks are in sororities and they make it known every 17 seconds. Greek or not…all those women were being extra. This show gives folk more reasons to bash those who join NPHC organizations.
Let me just say I’ve NEVER been g’ed up the way sorors were for step and stroll practice. Because, if it’s a real practice…you’re coming in there comfy cuz you’re going to sweat AND lose weight. However, this is in ATL…the Stuntin’ Capital of the USA.
Ignorance was all over Twitter though. “So y’all sororities tell y’all not to protest, but they allow this show?” 1. My organization didn’t tell us “Don’t protest.” They simply said don’t wear letters when doing it and explained why. 2. Like you stated, the sororities did protest. However, that did nothing. I don’t plan on watching anymore episodes, but I’d be shocked if anyone is actually in their letters as the season goes along.
Am I the only one that thought Adrene looked she had been tanning and fell asleep??? That muddy face goes way beyond contouring.
I didn’t watch and don’t know if I will. One of my big concerns about the impact of the show is on future interests of our D9 orgs. Like my high school students will watch that and then start thinking that this is what the orgs really represent.
I want to see how much our Frat brothers will support us and not let a single one of these women “host” parties during their national weekends.
Does anyone know if these women still have their letters? I can’t imagine them being active at all. I bet they haven’t been financial since undergrad
Every last one of those Grassholes (that’s a Greek asshole to those who never pledged) had a choice: be a credit or a liability to your sisterhoods. Every last one of them should be stripped, literally and figuratively, and paddled until they can recite the Greek alphabet backward.
So I turned this off quickly after LHHNY. I am not in a Greek organization but many of my friends are. I don’t see the point of associating your letters and orgs with this show if THATS NOT EVEN WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT. Yall are all out of school, so, um….I don’t get it. I hope this goes away soon. Like seriously. Do white people even watch VH1 anymore? I don’t even think white people watch Mob Wives. Remember when VH1 was only for white people and songs that you didn’t want anyone to know that you knew (George Michael all day!). Like wha? Wha happen?
Also..”cunt punch” Mocha Peach? Love it. FTW!
I have never watched the Real Housewives franchise, love and Hip Hop or any of that nonsense. I figured if I didn’t watch it, it might go away but it seems to be multiplying. It didn’t go away and now, we have Nene Leakes and Joseline Hernandez loose in this world. Nene Leakes. I simply cannot …
I’m a Delta and I can’t believe someone thought this was a good idea. You know, membership is a lifetime commitment so these people should be affiliated with Alumnae chapters and working for the betterment of their respective communities. They should not be throwing drinks, dropping it low and fighting over whose sad boutique is best.
This is just “need an antidepressant” sad.
Greek life never appealed to me so I can’t speak to how they were represented. In general I avoid these kind of shows like the plague because if I wanted to see Black women acting ratchet I can just reminisce about the hijinks that went on in the neighborhood I grew up in.
Thanks Luvvie for taking one for the team. Sounded like it was an ordeal.
I didn’t watch the show but I’ve head about it before it aired. I just don’t like these shows stereotyping African American women like they do. Are they really in the sororities they claim to be in or is it an act?
Another mean girls franchise in black face. The fact that I doubt anyone onscreen made more than 40K for her appearances. I’m not Greek but my family is about that life & no one is supporting is insult. I am sure there is excommunication paperwork in the mail.
Lord, bring back SCANDAL..quick! Shonda show VH1
how it’s done!
I liked it, but then I like all of these shows. I’m not a Greek, nor would I ever have been, but I’m a black woman with 3 advanced degrees, I’ve studied the representation of black women, and I like watching black folks on TV, well-behaved or not. They don’t represent me, and I don’t represent them. The boycotts disappoint me because they threaten to take away something I find mindlessly entertaining. So sue me.
I, too, find it entertaining– because I know it is not ALL true. Those offended know it is TOO true and can shift the way people view sororities. Best to address the problem not address the advertisers.
“Do they get ex-communicated after this show?”
If K. Michelle is still a Delta, these girls will be just fine.
Mona Scott you tried, you really did. I couldn’t stomach this travesty for the length of the first episode. Horrible depiction of black women. I kept wanting to reach through the tv screen an straighten Aprils crooked a$$ wig. Iggy Azalea’s imitation of stereotypical black women is a better show than this one. Im booing this show right now. Booooooooo…
Actually, k.michele was asked on the radio on how she felt about the show and she went in. She’s a legacy, daddy is a sigma. She did not pull any punches, even mentioned herself and on her show she does she doesn’t go around putting up her sign or ooping every three minutes.
I made a decision not to support it a while ago, I just chose not to tune in during it’s time slot. Why give it the ratings so VH1 can then make a point of there being interest? Nah, I’ll pass.
As an FYI: unless you are a Nielsen household, your TV viewing is not being tracked for the official TV viewing rating measurements.
#1. The make-up, who did(didn”t) it? Fire all of them first.
#2. Take all of dem dresses back to “Rainbow”
#3. With all of this collage education, when will these “ABF” (artificial-black-folk)realize they ain”t GREEK. Here is yet another show, being filmed in plantation Georgia, with black folk wanting to be proud of being part of a knock off white organization, that never wanted them anyway, but decided to let them establish their (y’all gone over there and do your thing) organization. What a waist of Financial Aid.
#4. The average African American has at least 25 to 27% slave master Caucasian in his DNA, with that weave you get a added 10%,bring a white friend, another 15%, keep trying, YOU HAVE ONLY 50% MORE TO GO BEFORE YOU ARE THERE. Finally white, YEAH!
First thing Wrong: Who in the h– named that child PRIYANKA???????
First of all let me start off by saying.. ALL shows that portray African American woman as ruthless, uncontrollable, rude, angry and loud is ridiculous. This show, or any other show portraying women in a negative light is absolutely outrageous. Moreover, this show most definitely does not show the positive leadership, and role model image associated with divine 9 sororities. These women should be a shame on their selves; associating their negative behavior with the greek letters. The show is not entertaining. It is insulting, and should be eliminated from vh1.
Just a question, what’s the difference between this sorority show, RHOA, Love and hip hop or any other ratchet black women reality show besides the industry has changed (I.e. music, sororities, sports, atlanta etc). The correct answer is nothing because they all are making black women look terrible. Sad part is black greek life and black women are more pissed “it’s making they sorority look bad” and they bout even being pissed it make all black women look bad. They coming out the woodworks to get show cancelled for that very reason. Why not get all that junk taking off the air? (This very point is proven by the black woman who started this post and I quote, “I’ve had my limit of black ratchet shows…but I still make time for RHOA and love and hip hop.” Hypocrisy much??
